Booking Protect at INTIX

What is INTIX?

The International Ticketing Association (INTIX) connects entertainment professionals with cutting-edge education and innovative tools. This non-profit organisation represents thousands of the world’s top ticketing, sales, technology, finance and marketing professional. Hailing from over 25 countries, these professionals shape the sectors of arts, sports and entertainment.

Their annual networking event brings together the globe’s best ticketing professionals, facilitating the sharing of information about new platforms, products and services relevant to the ticketing industry.

Booking Protect in Orlando

Booking Protect were diamond sponsors at the event and the team travelled to celebrate the 43rd annual conference. This year the event was held in Orlando, Florida. We set up our stall alongside some of the brightest ticketing platforms in the business, ready to learn what 2022 could have in store.

Our stand was located at the main hall of the INTIX conference. We had our iconic mini putting green and Booking Protect imagery. It was great to catch up with so many clients and future clients, we’re always happy to chat about what we do!

In the above picture, Cath Healy, our Business Development Manager, bought raffle tickets from Joseph Forlini. Joseph and his wife Linda, previously of Ticket Philadelphia and lifetime INTIX member, sell tickets where proceeds go towards the PD&E fund (Professional Development & Education Fund). The fund helps INTIX to present quality educational programming and provide conference scholarships to individuals who otherwise would not be able to attend.

Pictured above is Maureen Andersen, President of INTIX, who gave us a warm welcome. We also managed to talk to our client, Sarah Goodson of Florida State University.

On Monday we took part in a team building exercise. We had a blast at Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures, hoping to catch a glance of some gators, turtles and bald eagles.

See our pictures and find our newly adopted mascot, the lesser spotted Booking Protect alligator, above.

We managed to visit some of Orlando’s best amenities during our stay. Stunning scenery was witnessed at the home ground of Orlando City SC. Giants in the MLS, we visited Exploria stadium which has a capacity of 25,500 – so easily seating our team including the above pictured Cath and Hayley Fowler-Rimel, Head of Business Development.

We visited The Walt Disney Theatre and caught a snippet of the touring London Philharmonic Orchestra who were rehearsing in the impressive Steinmetz Hall next door. We also were lucky enough to visit the Amway Centre, home to the NBA’s Orlando Magic. They were set to play the LA Lakers; it just shows how important these venues are to a community’s welfare and economy.

Upon finishing for the night, we enjoyed a meal out at Disney Springs. We saw the amazing Lego store with their monster on display protruding out of the water. And then caught the Rainforest Cafe’s volcano mid-eruption, as well as the famous Aerophile ride. Check out Morimoto Asia Restaurant’s amazing chandeliers above.

A big thank you to INTIX for hosting us. Rosen Shingle Creek and the whole of Orlando was amazing. It was great to get to chat to so many ticketing professionals, we’ll definitely be back again next year!

If you are a prospective client or professional in the arts, sport and entertainment sector, come visit the event next year. It’s set to be held in Seattle between the dates of January 24th – 26th in 2023.
